B. Thomas Marking
Your Independent Candidate

for the

U. S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
In the 1976 movie, Network, one of the main characters
declares, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take
this anymore!"
Are you there yet?  Do you sometimes
feel like your elected "representatives" are practicing
allegiance to a party or an ideology instead of what they should have declared allegiance to -- you and the constitution?  We cannot solve our problems with the
same political philosophies, practices, and parties that created them.

South Dakota has but one voice in the U. S. House of Representatives.  It should therefore be a truly Independent voice --  advocating the majority view of both time zones, unresponsive to party or special interest pressures, acting as neither rubber stamp nor knee-jerk critic, able to help dogmatic reds and bull-headed blues find common ground, eager to think outside the box, and, most importantly, reflecting the spirit and wisdom of all those who draw strength from living on the northern plains.
